Spectral state classification of binary systems using ML (On going)

In this project, we aim to classify the spectral state of binary systems using a ML algorithm. We hope to use X-ray spectra of different binaries over different outburst phases, to train our model. Choice of model and details will be updated as the project gradually progresses. This project is being done under the supervision of Dr. Santanu Mondal, IIA and collaboration with Diptarko Choudhury.

Correlating Synchrotron with Galactic Magnetic Field

The aim of this project is to find how the Galactic Magnetic Field (GMF) may be related to the Galactic synchrotron that is produced due to the interaction of relativistic Cosmic Ray Electorns with the GMF. We take the Haslam Map at 408 MHz, as our real world data, and we used the gpempy module to simulate different Synchrotron Maps combining different Geometric features of Magnetic field and electron distribution for our Galaxy

Taking a survey and analysing the X-Ray spectra of Dual AGNs

In this project, I took a survey of dual Active Galactic Nucleus, as reported in literature and examined the X-Ray spectra of different sources. I used Chanda CIAO and NASA HEASOFT softwares to download, bin and fit the spectra to different models.

Solving Galactic Dynamo Equations and Exploring Fountain Flows

This project is done as a part of the course I took in Magnetohydrodynamics and Plasma Physics. I have attempted to solve the Dynamo equations, starting off with the Diffusion equations, and then gradually including the induction terms to obtain the final solution
